Clay Mini Book

Created for the Saturday's Workout Challenge. This is a clay mini book. Black clay was rolled using a pasta machine, then painted with 4 coats of gold lumiere paint, allowing to dry between each coat. A rubber stamp was pressed into the painted clay. Next a layer of Adirondack paint was added in Eggplant, Pesto & Denim. The clay was then rolled until flat, and pieces cut to make the front and back of the book. Holes were added for binding before baking, then once cured, a hinge was made for the front pieces (using double sided sticky tape) so the book would open. Paper pages were added between the covers and gold lame' ribbon used to bind them using stab stitch. Little beads were addded to the ends of the ribbon, and some Star Brads added to the front cover.
