Sing, Dance, Play


Created for the Moo Card Challenge where the theme is musical instruments. The background is Distress inkn in Vintage Photo & Faded Jeans. This was stamped with a small script in Faded Jeans, then a musci background paper was torn and attached. Next the collage image was added. The words were computer generated and edged with faded jeans. A metal music note charm was added to embellish.

Architecture




Created for the sample pieces on TGIF. This week's theme is Architecture.
The first piece was created with Distress inks in the background in Dusty Concord, Faded Jeans and Peeled Paint. The Architecture was then stamped in black, and a collage image added. Finally the words were stamped and sponged with the same inks.
The second piece uses Distress inks in Faded Jeans & Vintage Photo. These were spritzed with a little water to created the speckled effect, then the main image was stamped in Versafine Black. This was masked and the background stamped with a text in faded jeans. Finally, the word "inspire" was stamped and speckles and ink splodges added.

Do All Things With Love


Created for the Theme Thursday Challenge where the theme is Tags. The background was created by sponging with Distress inks in Dusty Concord & Vintage Photo. This was then stamped with a script in Dusty Concord. The collage image was then applied, and the small text cut out, edged with Dusty Concord and attached. Finaished with matching fibres.

Purple & Green


Creaeted for the Wednesday Stamper Challenge. The background was created using the Wrinkle Free Distress Technique in Peeled Paint & Dusty Concord. This was then stamped with a text background in Peeled Paint. Torn music script was sponged with Peeled Paint and added, then a collage image and the words. Finally, some Prima flowers to embellish.

Running Wild


Created for the TMTA Challenge where the theme is Wild Animals. The background was created using the Wrinkle Free Distress Technique in Broken China. This was then sponged over with a little Chalk ink in Thatched Straw, and stamped with a faux linen stamp, again in Broken China. Next the Zebras were stamped in Versafine Black. Various embellishments were added included computer genterated text, grugeboard and metal pieces.

World Outside Your Window


Created for the Mixed Media Monday Challenge where the theme is Feathered Friends. I started by sponging Distress Ink in Antique Linen onto matt cardstock. Next I stamped the main image in black, and sponged around it in Tea dye & Vintage Photo. I then masked the image to stamp a script background in Vintage Photo. Next I sponged Walnut Stain around the edge of the card, and stamped the small birds in black. Finally, I cut out the text, edged t in Vintage Photo and added it to the card.

Garden Sprite


Created for the Gothic Arch Challenge. I used the Wrinkle Free Distress Technique for the background with Faded Jeans ink. This was then sponged over with VersasMagic Chalk ink in Thatched Straw, and Distress Ink in Dusty Concord. A floral stamp was added to the background in Faded Jeans. Torn paper was sponged with the same inks, then applied to the top and bottom of the card. The Collage image was then applied, and some text edged with the same inks to finish.

Numbers


Created for the Sunday Postcard Challenge where the theme is numbers. I started by stamping the bakcground in Versafine Black, then sponged StazOn inks over the top of this in Sunflower, Teal & Blazing Red. Areas were highlighted with a White Signo Gel pen, and then the collage images were applied. Finally, some grungeboard numbers were coloured with the same inks, and the edges were sponged with black.

Best Buddy


Created for the Theme Thursday Challenge where the theme is Numbers. The background was created using Adirondack inks in Mushroom and Stonewash. This was then stamped with Mushroom ink. A measuring tape background paper was sponged with mushroom ink and applied to the base of the card, and then collage image was attached. A grungeboard number was sponged with Stonewash & Mushroom ink and addeded to embellish, then some paper words edged with stonewash were also attached to finish.

Mixed Media Canvas


Created for the Wednesday Stamper Challenge. I painted the canvas with acrylic paints - Blue, Cream, Gold and a little Raisin. Next I stamped the background onto tissue paper using StazOn black and applied this to the canvas using Future floor polish (this makes the tissue paper transparent when applied). The canvas was then sprayed randonly with a little Lustre Spray in Blue & Gold. Next the collage image was applied. I then added a little more cream acrylic where the words were to go, and randomly around the collage image. The words were cut out and edegd with Distress Ink in Faded Jeans. Finally, Opals EP were applied around the edges in Bubblegum Blue.

Fairy Princess


Created for the Crazy Amigos Challenge where the theme is 2 x 4". The background was created first by spritzing cardstock with Sticky Fingers Lustre sprays in Pink and Red, then adding some gold. Next, I stamped a background stamp in StazOn Red, and then added some torn background papers which were also edged in red. I added some gesso around the centre where I wanted to place the fairy image, heat dried it, then sprayed on some more gold. Finally, I added the fairy image and the words.

Pink & Green


For the Created By Hand Challenge where the theme is Pink & Green. I coated an old book page with gesso, then added Distress Inks in Shabby Shutters & Tattered Rose. I then added a couple more coats of each. A torn music script was sponged with Tattered Rose and applied randly over the card. Next the collage image was applied, and finally the text was stamped onto paper sponged with Tattered Rose and edged with Shabby Shutters.

India


Created for the TMTA Challenge where the theme is India. The background was sponged with Distress inks in Milled Lavender & Worn Lipstick, then stamped with a script in Milled Lavender. Over this, I sponged some Adirondack ink in Mountain Rose. Next I stamped the word India in black, and a Paisley design also in black. Finally, the collage image was added, and gold Krylon applied around the edges.

Time


A 3.5 x 3.5" page created for part of a book swap. The theme for this page was Time. The background was sent to me to decorate. I added a page of torn paper which I sponged with Distress Ink in Peeled Paint. I then stamped it with a Time stamp (Stampers Anonymous) in StazOn Olive. Next I sprayed a little gold onto the piece and sponged the edges with Vintage Photo Ink. I stamped a pocket watch onto cardstock in black. Sponged it with Vintage photo ink, then added a layer of Ranger Crackle Accents. When dry this was cut out, gold wings were attached it it was added to the card. I also added ink and crackle to a grungeboard letter. The same watch watch stamped onto the green coloured paper, the words were added, and some tiny watch parts to embellish.

The Time Is Now


Created for the Mixed Media Monday Challenge where the Theme this week is Altered People. I started by glueing various background papers to matt cardstock, then painting them with a thin layer of gesso. Next I added various colours wash sprays, and a little more gesso. The main image was attached, then gesso painted around it. Some paper doily was addded after painting it with gesso and spraying with colour wash, then the words. The whole thing was sprayed with a couple of coats of gloss lacquer to finish.

Peace


Created for the Gothic Arch Challenge where the theme is Peace. The background was made using Distress Inks in Worn Lipstick and Walnut Stain. This was then stamped with a script in Walnut Stain. Next the collage image was applied, then the words which were computer generated and sponged with the same inks as the background. Brilliance White ink was sponged around the edges of the arch, then German scrap was coloured with alcohol ink in Cranberry, then sponged with gesso and Walnut Ink. This was added to embellish the top and corners, and finally a metal charm with the word Peace was attached to the centre of the piece.

Postage people


Created for the Sunday Postcard Challenge. I started by printing a postage stamp image from the internet and attachin it to a collage image. Next I sponged my postcard with Distress Ink in Peeled Paint & Vintage Photo. This was then stamped with a postcard background in StazOn Olive. Torn paper pieces were added to the base and around the postcard. These were sponged with Walnut Stain ink before applying, then the edges of the card were also sponged with Walnut Stain. Finally, the postage person was attached, and a postmark image stamped randomly in black.

Innocence


Created for the Small World of Inchies Challenge where the theme is Chairs. My twinchie was created by sponging Distress inks onto matt card stock in Tea Dye, Milled Lavender & Weathered Wood. This was then stamped with a small script and a swirl in Weathered Wood. Torn backing paper was sponged with the same inks and applied, as well as the word innocence. Finally the main collage image was added and the whole piece sponged around the edges with Weathered Wood.

Created for the Make A Moo Card Challenge. A script backing paper was added to the card, then sponged with Vintage Photo Ink around the edges. Next the vintage collage image was applied and a brass cupid charm. The words were cut out, inked at the edges and added to finish.

Bright Joyous Me


Postcard created for the TGIF Challenge where the theme is Striped Trousers. I started by sponged matt cardstock with Cranberry ink, then stamped a text background over this, also in Cranberry. Next I applied a gesso wash to an old book page, then sponged it with Butterscotch ink, edging it with Cranberry. Various Teesha Moore collage images were applied to finish.

I Have A Purpose


Created for the Theme Thursday Challenge where the theme is Masculine. The background was sponged with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, then stamped with a postcard background in Walnut Stain. The collage image was applied, then a torn book page added to the bottom. Finally, the text, and brass embellishments were attached.

Under The Sea


Created for the Wednesday Stamper Challenge. The background was created by spraying colour wash inks onto card in Aqua & Lettuce. This was then stamped with Seaweed in black and bubbles in StazOn Teal. Tiny shells were fixed to the piece with netting over the top. The netting was sprayed with colourwash in Aqua & Delphinium. Some gold spray was then added over the piece, and the small fish attached.

Precious


Created for the Crazy Amigos Challenge where the theme is Cake. The background was made on glossy card. Inks were sponged onto this in Lettuce, Bottle & Eggplant. It was then stamped with a script stamp in Bottle, and gesso was randomly smudged into the piece. The card was also spritzed lightly with water to create speckles. It was then stamped with a token stamp in eggplant. Torn book pages were sponged with the same ink and applied to the card, the word precious was stamped onto one of them and added at the top. Finally, the collage images of the cupcake and little girl were added.

The Jewel In The Crown


Created for the TMTA Challenge where the theme is Jewels. I stamped the main image in Versafine Black, then watercoloured it with Lyra Watercolour Crayons. I also watercoloured the background in blue, then sponged a little Distress ink over it in Faded Jeans. The main image was then masked and the background stamped with ledger stamp in Faded Jeans. Three Rhinestone gems were added to embellish the crown, and computer generated text was sponged in coordinating colours.

Helping Hands


Created for the Mixed Media Monday Challenge where the theme is Helping Hands. I started by stamping and masking the main image, then sponging ink around it in Adirondack Butterscotch, Stream & Clover. I then stamped the background with a script using Stream ink, and then again with ink splatters in Brilliance Moonlight White. The quote is computer generated, sponged with Strem and edged with Clover. To finish, German Scrap borders wre added. These were coloured with Alcohol Ink in Stream.

Vintage Girls


Created for the Gothic Arch Challenge where the theme is Girls. The background was made using the Wrinkle Free Distress technique in Faded Jeans & Frayed Burlap. This was then stamped with a text background in Faded Jeans, and then with an ABC stamp in Walnut Stain. A ruler background paper was torn, sponged with Walnut stain at added. Finally the collage image of the girls was applied, and the whole piece sponged around the edges with Walnut Stain.

White Rabbit


Created for the Sunday Postcard Challenge where the theme is Alice in Wonderland. The background was sponged with Adirondack inks in Butterscotch and Red Pepper. This was then stamped with a text background in Purple Twilight, and then with Hearts in Versafine black. The image of the white Rabbit was then applied to the centre of the card, and black ink was sponged around the edges. A brass clock charm was then coloured with alcohol ink and added to embellish.

Garden Fairy


Created for the Saturday Surprise Challenge. The background was created using Distress Inks in Frayed Burlap & Broken China. This was then sprayed with Moonshadow mist in Buccaneer Blue. This was then stamped with Wild Flowers in Broken China. A torn paper border was added to the base of the card, sponged in the same inks, then a fairy collage image applied, some metal dragonfly charms and a metal word to finish.

Swirls


Created for the Small World of Inchies / Twinchies Challenge. The background was created using Distress Ink in Vintage photo, Shabby Shutters and Broken China. This was stamped in Vintage Photo was a Swirls stamp, and then was a speckles stamp in the same ink. A collage image was then applied, and a gold key charm was painted with acrylics to give a rusted appearance.

Cherish


Created for the Lots To Do Challenge. The background was made using the wrinkle free Distress Technique in Vintage Photo and Mustard Seed, some gesso was randly applied over theis, then it was stamped with a script in StazOn Timber Brown. Stripes were stamped in Walnut Stain using a scratched stamp. Torn paper was sponged with Vintage Photo, Glitz Spritz Spray was added over the top of both the paper & background. The collage image was applied, prima flowers and the word cherish added to finish.

Clay Mini Book


Created for the Saturday's Workout Challenge. This is a clay mini book. Black clay was rolled using a pasta machine, then painted with 4 coats of gold lumiere paint, allowing to dry between each coat. A rubber stamp was pressed into the painted clay. Next a layer of Adirondack paint was added in Eggplant, Pesto & Denim. The clay was then rolled until flat, and pieces cut to make the front and back of the book. Holes were added for binding before baking, then once cured, a hinge was made for the front pieces (using double sided sticky tape) so the book would open. Paper pages were added between the covers and gold lame' ribbon used to bind them using stab stitch. Little beads were addded to the ends of the ribbon, and some Star Brads added to the front cover.

Zetti


Created for the Make a Moo Card Challenge where the theme is Zettiology. The background was created using Adirondack inks in Butterscotch & Mountain Rose. I then added the pen work using a black detail pen and a white signo pen. I stamped the Zetti legs, then cut out a Zeti collage image. I added stripes to the flower face then assembled both the legs and face onto the background.

Little Things


Created for the TGIF Challenge where the theme is Childhood. The background was made using a patterned backing paper which was sponged with gesso, then sponged with Distress ink in Brushed Corduroy. The collage image was added. The words were stamped in black on paper coloured with Brushed Corduroy, cut up, then edged with Walnut Stain ink. German Scrap corners were painted with acrylics to give them a rusty appearance, and the whole card edged with Walnut Stain ink.

Fairies At The Bottom Of The Garden


Created for the Tag It On Challenge. I started by spraying a cream manilla tag with Sticky Fingers Lustre Sprays in Pink, Blue & Lilac. This was then stamped with a wild flowers stamp in Fasded Jeans Distress Ink. Torn paper was added sponged with either Faded Jeans or Worn Lipstick Distress ink. Next the Fairy image was applied and fibres added to finish.

Music & Dance


Created for the Theme Thursday Challenge. The background was made using a music script backing paper. This was sponged randomly with gesso and Versamagic Chalk Ink in Pixie Dust. The collage image was then added, and the text stamped , cut up and applied. The outside of the card and the edges of the stamped text were edged with Chalk Ink in Pretty Petunia. Metal corners and a metal charm were added to finish.

This was then sponged with Chalk ink in Thatched straw, and then stamped with a script stamp in Faded Jeans. The collage image was added, then a lace border, Prima flowers and some grungeboard. The grungeboard was painted with gesso, then sponged with coordinating inks.

Wings To Fly


Created for the Crazy Amigos Challenge where the theme is Fly With Me. The background was made using Sticky Fingers Colour Wash Sprays in Lilac, Marigold, Poppy and Gold. This was then stamped with a text stamp in Archival Maroon. The stamping was done with Versafine black, and the collage image added to finish.

Peacock


Created for the TMTA Challenge. The background uses the Wrinkle Free Distress Technique in Vintage Photo & Pine Needles. This was then stamped with a postcard background in Vintage Photo. Next I tore a dictionary defination of Peacock, coloured it with the same inks and attached to the base of the card, then stamped and cut out the nature quote coloured and attached to the right side. A real Peacock feather was added, then some metal embellishments to finish.

Inspirational Words


Created for the Mixed Media Monday Challenge. The background uses the cling and scrunch technique with Adirondack Colour Wash spray in Denim & Sticky Fingers lustre spray in Aqua. This was stamped with a numbers background in StazOn Ultramarine, and the collage image was then applied. The text was stamped onto paper sponged with Adirondack Pool ink, and then edged with StazOn Ultramarine. The lustre spray has made the card very shimmery IRL.

Listen To your Heart


Created for the Gothic Arches Challenge. The background was created by sponging Adirondack Lettuce and Pesto ink onto matt cardstock. This was then stamped with a text stamp using Pesto, then overstamped with a flourish in Versafine black. The collage image was then applied, and the words stamped. Prima flowers were added to embellish.

Decorative Mood


Created for the Sunday Postcard Challenge where the theme is Black & White. I started by covering matt cardstock with an old book page, then painting it with a layer of gesso. Next I placed a Tim Holtz mask down the right hand side, and sponged black ink over it. I also sponged black ink around the remaining 3 edges of the card, then broke it up a bit by adding a little more gesso in random places. I stamped a wrought iron railings stamp at the top and the base of the card, then applied a collage image. Two black metal keys were added to embellish, and the text was stamped and added to finish.

Faces


Created for the Lots To Do Challenge where the theme is faces. The centre image was stamped and masked, and then ink sponged around in Butterscotch, Clover & Denim. The background was then stamped with a numbers stamp in Denim. The butterfly image was applied and the daisy flowers added to finish.

Collage


Created for the Saturday's Workout Challenge. I started by spraying an old book page with Sticky Fingers Lustre Sprays in Aubergine, Red, Aqua, Lemon and Green. I then added a little gesso, and sprayed it with MoonShadow ink in Batchelor Blue. The piece was then resprayed with the Lustre inks and heat dried. Next I stamped over some background paper which was originally an acrylic background which I had scanned and printed off. I tore this into small pieces, edged them with Pool ink and attached to the card. Next I attached the rest of the collage elements, the butterflies, the main image and finally little Prima flowers. Such a shame the scanner doesn't pick up the sparkle in the background!

ATC Arch


Created for the TGIF Challenge where the Theme is ATC Gothis Arches. I cut my arch from matt card stock, attach an old book page, then sponged it randomly with gesso. I then added colourwash sprays in Bluebell, lilac & Buttercup, and heat dried, adding a few more sprays as it was heated. Finally the collage image was applied and the edges of the arch sponged with Adirondack Denim ink.
