Nature

Created for a swap and also fits this week's Mixed Media Monday theme "Something New". New because it is part of a collaborative paper bag book swap, which is something I haven't made before, and it also include some of my new collage images.

The background was created using Sticky Fingers sprays in Poppy & Buttercup, plus some Sticky Fingers Lustre Spray in Aubergine. On top of this, I stamped a Hero Arts Flower in StazOn Royal Purple, the Tim Holtz corner in Versafine black, and added also some ink splatters / dots also in black. The collage images were then added and the whole piece edged with Black soot Distress Ink.

That's great. I love the name of the products - sticky fingers! That's usually me! Colours are so vibrant, they leap out and grab you round the chops!!

I love this one. It's funny because i just posted a drawing called 'Blackbirds'. But my birds are not so friendly though.
I like your use of colours.

My goodness! I have just been enjoying your wonderful blog, Rachel, and I spied this piece which has blown me away. The bird, glowing in his electric blue colours, stands out so much the picture looks almost three dimensional. This is truly a special artwork.
