Black & Gold Tag

Created for the Tag You're It Challenge. The theme is black & gold. I started with a cream manilla tag, and gold embossed an oriental blossom onto it. Geisha was stamped onto cream cardstock in black, outlined in Krylon gold and matted onto black card stock. Geisha text stamped in black, and whole tag matted onto black cardstock. Fibres added to embellish. Stamps by Simple Expressions.

Moments

Created for the TGIF Challenge. This week's theme is Pink. I started with a piece of shaving foam background which was made with pink tone inks on matt cardstock. I lightly sponged this with Pink Petunia Chalk ink, then stamped over with a text stamp in Malted Mauve Chalk ink. Next I stamped the Moments text in Adirondack Raisin, and added the swirl also in Raisin ink. Finally applied a collage image, and mounted it onto a matching cardstock.

Love & Cherish

Moo cards created for the "Make a Moo or Two" Challenge. This week's theme is Mother's Day. I used Alcohol inks in Raisin & Eggplant for the background, then gold embossed a script stamp before applying collage images and computer generated text.

Ticket To Ride

Created for the 4x4 Friday Challenge. bakcground uses Distress Inks in Antique Linen, Tea Dye, Vintage Photo & Walnut Stain. Main image was stamped, then masked whilst background colours were sponged on. Whilst image was still masked the tickets background was stamped in Adirondack Raisin. Then the ticket to ride was stamped in black. Stamps by Stampers Anonymous (Tim Holtz range) and Invoke Arts.

Girl With Doves

Created for an image challenge on Altered Designs. The background was made uding Distress Ink in Tea Dye & Adirondack ink in Meadow. Overstamped with Cherish definition stamp. Image backed onto balck card and embellished with paper flowers, and a German scrap gold border.

Birds

Created for the Crazy Amigos Challenge. The background uses Pesto Colour Wash Spray and Glitz Spritz Spray (Texas Blue Bonnet). The word Birds was first stamped in white over the bakcground, then images added in black ink. Stamps by Invoke Arts & Time to Stamp.

Teach Me To Fly

Created for the Skinny Saturday Challenge which has now been relaunched. The background was made using Distress ink in Frayed Burlap. This was applied to a craft sheet & spritzed with water before paper was laid on top of it to pick up the ink. Before drying, a lilac colour wash spray was applied over the top. Branch was stamped in Frayed Burlap and other images in black. Violet StazOn was sponged around the edges to finish. Stamps by Simple Expressions, Lost Coast Designs & Paper Artsy.

Flower Girl ATC

Made using a scrap piece of aqua background left over from another project. I stamped and gold embossed a filigree pattern, applied collage image and a few flowers to embellish. Stamp by Simple Expressions.

Image challenge

Created for an image challenge on the yahoo group "Altered Designs". The background was made using an old book page, which was sponged with dilute gesso. It was then sponged with Distress ink in Frayed Burlap. Images were stamped in black, and collage image applied. Mounted on a backing of similar colours.

Inchies


Produced for the inch by inch challenge. The theme was to create an inchie that depicted an image that started with the first letter of your name. The background is chalk inks, and the stamp is by Invoke Arts.

Adventure

Created this skinny to use up some scrap background paper. The background was made using layers of kitchen towel, colour wash sprays and PVA glue. This was stamped over, a collage image applied, then a layer of gloss varnish.

Black & White

Created for TMTA. The theme is clack & white. The background is a piece of glossy card which has been blackened by holding a candle flame over it. I stamped the background text over this, then stamped the main image onto a transparency and attached it over the top. The card was then outlined with Krylon silver.

Painted Canvas

Created for the Mixed Media Monday Challenge. This week's theme is paint, so I have produced a painted canvas. The background was created using layers of gesso and acrylic paint. Images were stamped in black StazOn onto tissue paper, then attached to the canvas. A crackle stamp was used over the top of the images in StazOn Royal Purple, and finally, I sponged Brilliance moonlight White ink through sequin mesh. ATC Collage

Created for the "Lots To Do" challenge. The challenge was to create 9 ATCs in a collage. I started with a cling background made with colour wash sprays in denim, lettuce and eggplant. Then overstamped with Cherry Pie stamps in black.

Chairs

Created for the Gothic Arch Challenge. The background uses Distress Inks in Dusty Concord & Worn Lipstick. This was overstamped with the main image in black, which was then masked and a dream text bakcground was stamped around the image in Dusty Concord. I scattered Opals embossing powders around the edges, and also embossed a wooden letter in the same colours. The letter and the edges of the arch were outlined in silver Krylon and a metal word embellishment added to the top of the arch. Stamps by Paperbag Studios & Stamp Camp.

Created for "The Small World of Inchies" Challenge Blog. The theme is vintage. I used a collage paper bakcground, sponged the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, cut out tiny collage images, edged these also with Vintage photo and glued them over the top.
