Stampbord Magnet
Stamped image by Non-Sequitor. Stamped onto Stampbord and coloured with Faber Castell Oil Based Pencils. SPrayed with a fixative, which unfortunately made the Archival ink run a little.

Dragonfly Box & Mini Book

This box and mini book was made for my Mum's birthday. I started by sponging acrylic paint onto a paper mache box in metallic purple, then adding a little metallic green. Once dry, I sponged on some Brilliance ink in Galaxy Gold. The lid was decorated with torn edge paper coloured using Versamagic chalk ink in Oasis Green & Pretty Petunia. This was overstamped with Dragonfly stamps by PaperArtsy in StazOn Royal Purple. Dragonfly brads were attached to embellish further.
The mini book is made from stampboard, coated with the same VersaMagic inks as the box lid, with 3 coats of clear UTEE. The book pages were made from 90g copier paper, sponged with VersaMagic, Stamped with StazOn Royal Purple, and the flowers were overstamped with Galaxy Gold.
The inside of the box contains a sheet of crumpled mulberry paper, coloured with colour wash sprays, and stamped in Stazon to match the box and book design.

Paper Beads

After seeing something similar on someone else's blog I was inspired to have a go at making some of these. I took strips of copier paper, rolled them around a piece of dowel, and glued the ends in place. Next rolled the bead in Versamark, put it back onto the dowel, and dipped it in UTEE, heated, redipped and sprinkled various powders on until I was happy with the result. I used Opals and Moon Glow powders.
Starburst Background

Created for a background swap on Creative Cards Group using Starburst Stains by Lindy's Stamp Gang. Take white copier paper, dab with Amaryllis Burgundy stain until ¾ covered. Next take the Delphinium Turquoise and dab to fill remaining white paper. Scrunch into a ball, then reopen. Re-dab with each colour to intensify, scrunch into a ball and again reopen. Use a craft iron to iron flat, but retaining a crinkled look. Spray with gold webbing. Glue onto card stock to strengthen.

The Journey is...
Follow Your destiny

I've been playing with gesso techniques the last couple of days for a swap on Creative Cards Group. For this first card the images were stamped onto glossy card in black, then gesso was sponged randomly over the top. It was then brayered with a Kaleidacolor pad - Cappuccino Delight. Background stamps by Tim Holtz & Crafty Individuals. Main image by Invoke Arts.
Caught in Crystal & Glitz Spritz

Was experimenting with backgrounds using the scrunch technique - I started by spraying some Butterscotch colour wash onto regular copier paper, then spritzed with Glitz Sprtiz Pumpkin, scrunched it into a ball, reopened it, then ironed it dry. The oriental image is caught in crystal using Adirondack inks. Geisha image is from Time to Stamp, Oriental script from Cherry Pie.

Reverse Prints Card

Using a technique from the Technique Junkies Newsletter. This card was made by placing a real leaf across some watercolour paper, spritzing with colour wash sprays (lettuce and oregano), then removing the leaf. I then stamped over the print with leaf images in black, stamped a quote, and added some dome stickers and fibres to embellish.
Time Box

This is a paper mache box which I painted with Lumiere paints in halo violet gold, then sponged with some Brilliance ink in Glaxy Gold and Lightening Black. The top is decorated with a torn background paper which was made using alcohol inks and then stamped in Brilliance Crimson. After this was stuck down, I attached some watch parts, and a clay embellishment. The clay embellishment was made from black pollymenr clay which was stamped into, and dusted with pearl ex powders before baking.

Birds Canvas

Canvas was painted with blue and brown acrylics, and some gesso was added in places. Adirondack color Wash sprays were added randomly. Images stamped onto tissue paper using Staz On Timber brown, and the tissue paper was adhered using Future (Klear) Floor polish. Egg shells were painted with pale blue acrylic, then wlanut stain Ditress Ink was flick onto them to create a speckled effect. Egg shell pieces were then added to embellish the canvas, and the whole thing was sealed with a gloss acrylic finish.

Stampsmith image is stamped in Archival Black, with the rose coloured in Adirondack Currant ink, then a layer of Distress ink was smooched over the top in Antique Linen.

Tim Holtz ATC's

These ATC's use images from a Tim Holtz cube. The backgrounds were made by spritzing white copy paper with Moon Shadow inks, then scrunching it into a ball, reopening and ironing flat. The mica in the inks gathers in the creases giving a very shimmery effect. The colours used were Violaceous Violet & Jolly Roger Red.
