Da Vinci

Created for the Wednesday Stamper Challenge. The background was sponged with Distress Ink in Antique Linen, Milled Lavender and Dusty Concord. The Da Vinci image was then stamped in StazOn Stone Grey which was then masked and a crackle stamped onto the background in Dusty Concord. Finally the Artist & Art texts were stamped down the side and along the bottom of the card, and inkk splatters randomly around it.

Balance

Created for the TMTA Challenge where the theme is buttons. The background was made using a scrap piece of card left from another project, and a piece of torn script paper. Over this the PaperWhimsy collage image was applied, then a small butterfly and the text. The edges were inked in Broken China Distress ink.

Next a piece of white lace was coloured with Glimmer Mist in Patina. This was attached, and small buttons added on top of it to embellish.

Tag created for the Mixed Media Monday Challenge where the theme is wings. A tag was covered with an old book page and coloured with Distress Ink in Tea Dye. The Tim Holtz bird was then stamped in Versafine Black, and a floral stamp in around the edges. Grungeboard flowers were also coloured in black ink and added, and matching fibres tied at the top.

Eyes

Created for the Sunday Postcard Challenge where the theme is eyes. The background was created by sponging the entire card with Lettuce ink, then sponging over the top of this with Oregano ink around the edges. A little Distress ink in Dusty Concord was also sponged randomly near the centre. The whole thing was then stamped over with a linen effect background in Lettuce. Next the eyes were stamped in the centre using Versafine Black. After this, a brick wall stamp was used in the background in Oregano, and a crackle in StazOn Royal Purple. Finally, the text stamp was used 3 times in Black, and the piece edged with Dusty Concord.

Nature

Created for a swap and also fits this week's Mixed Media Monday theme "Something New". New because it is part of a collaborative paper bag book swap, which is something I haven't made before, and it also include some of my new collage images.

The background was created using Sticky Fingers sprays in Poppy & Buttercup, plus some Sticky Fingers Lustre Spray in Aubergine. On top of this, I stamped a Hero Arts Flower in StazOn Royal Purple, the Tim Holtz corner in Versafine black, and added also some ink splatters / dots also in black. The collage images were then added and the whole piece edged with Black soot Distress Ink.

Ring Out The Old, Bring In The New

The background was achieved by lightly sponging a manilla tag with Distress Ink in Frayed Burlap, then using a Tim Holtz Clock mask, and sponging again with Frayed Burlap. Next a French Text was stamped using Walnut Stain, and a few Tim Holtz Clocks also in Walnut Stain. The collage image was then applied, and computer generated text sponged in coordinating colours. Fibres were added to finish.

Shaped Tag

Created for a challenge. I used a sizzix die to create the tag shape. The larger shape was cut from canvas paper, then rubbed with Distress pads in Walnut Stain & Dusty Concord. This was then spritzed, then sprayed with a little Antique Gold spray. Finished by sponging on a little Mustard Seed ink.

The centre piece was sponged with Dusty Concord, Mustared Seed and Fired Brick, before stamping with a text in StazOn Royal Purple. Walnut Stain was sponged around the edges, and then it was also sprayed with Antique gold.

The flourishes are sizzlets die cuts. Cut from cream card, then sponged with the same colours as above. The flourishes were attached, followed by a Paper Whimsy image. Flowers were punched from a sheet of faux rust paper I had made and brads placed through the centre, and finally a text ribbon was coloured and an eyelet placed through the top of the tag before adding various fibres.

Created for a both the Crazy Amigo & the Created By Hand Challenges. The background was created using Antique Linen & Opailite Frost. This was then stamped with snowflakes in Aspen Chalk ink, then the branches, bird, dots and more snowflakes in StazOn Stone Grey. Embellished with computer generated letters and grungeboard. The grungeboard was painted with cream acrylic and crackel accents which were highlighted with Walnut Stain & Dusty Concord ink. Dusty Concord was also used around the edges of the card.

Christmas Angel

Created for the TMTA Challenge. The background was created firstly by sponging with Distress ink in Antique Linen, then adding some Blue Opalite to make it shimmer. Next it was stamped randomly with snow dots and snowflakes in Aspen chalk ink. A paper whimsy image was cut out and given some angel wings (internet image). Torn paper was sponged with Antique Linen, then stamped with a tiny Christmas music script in StazOn Stone Grey. Music and angel were added to the background, and the piece was finished by stamping some Christmas post marks in Stone Grey, and sponging the edges in Dusty Concord.

Captured Frost Fairy

Created for the Mixed Media Monday Challenge where the theme is Frost. I used a glass jar, glued Mother Of Pearl fantasty film on for a background, and added fantasy fibres in the same colour to the base of the jar. The fairy was created using internet images, and glitter applied to her wings and dress. She was then placed inside the jar, with a few metal stars. Glitter was applied to the outside of the jar to resemble frost. Various fabrics and fibres were added to embellish the lid, and a tag stamped to finish.

Created for the Sunday Postcard Challenge where the theme is Flourishes. The background was created with Distress Inks in Peeled Paint, Faded Jeans & Dusty Concord. This was then stamped with a Flourish in Brilliance Moonlight White. Torn book page was sponged with gesso, then Peeled paint and Faded Jeans ink. Numbers & more Flourishes were stamped in StazOn Azure. Finally the collage image and metal embellishments were attached.

Star Quality

Created for the Gothic Arch Challenge where the theme is Stars. The background was created using Starburst inks in Shamrock Green, French Lilac & Violet-Teal. The inks were applied to plain copier paper, then the paper scruched into a ball to create wrinkles. The mica from the inks gathers in the wrinkles and creates a shimmery effect. This was then ironed flat and stamped with an alphabet background using Versafine Black. Next I added lilac snow mesh to the top and base of the arch, followed by a german scrrap border. The collage image was attatched, and 4 silver star brrads were coloured with alcohol purple alcohol ink, mixed with a little gold Krylon. Finally, dymo text was added.

Created for the Sunday Postcard Challenge. The background was created by first sponging white card with Chalk Inks in Pretty Petunia & Thatched Straw. This was then sprayed with Lustre inks in Pink, Lilac and Lemon. Next the card was sttamped with a text background in StazOn Stone Grey. Torn Music paper was attached and the whole background then coated with dilute gesso. More sprays to finish, and a little lilac chalk ink also. The collage image was then applied, computer generated text and a small musical charm.

Created for a swap, and also fits the theme on this week's Lots To Do Challenge. The backgrouns of the card was created using a combination of Vintage Photo Distress ink & Moon Shadow Spray. This was dried and embossed with a cuttlebug folder. Next a piece of card was coloured with Vintage Photo ink, Finally an ATC size centre piece was created using the same Distress Ink and a flourish stamped in Broken China for the background, then the bird and text stamped in black. A rub on letter was added to embellish.

House Of Fun

Created for the Sunday Stampers Challenge. The background was created using colour ash sprays in Poppy & Buttercup. This was then stamped with a Script in Archival Maroon, then letters tiles and ink splatters were stamped using Versafine Black. Old book paper was coloured with Butterscotch ink and a scallop design cut from it. The word fun was stamped in black onto butterscotch card and added to the left hand side. Finally the text and letter tiles were highlighted with a White Signo Pen.

Created for the Gothic Arch Challenge where the theme is Tickets. The background was created using the wrinkle free distress technique in Pine Needles & Walnute Stain. This was then sponged over with Tea Dye to add warmth. The ticket background was sdtamped in Walnut Stain, then a layer of dilute gesso brush onto the centre where the image was then placed. A ticket border was stamped in black using the same colour theme, and computer generated text added.

Grungeboard arrow embellishments were coloured with Walnut Stain, and the whole piece edged with Walnut Stain.

Lord Leighton

Created for the Gothic Arch Challenge where the theme is Lord Leighton. The background was sponged with Adirondack Lettuce and Pesto inks. This was then stamped with a text background in Pesto, and the edges of the arch sponged with Vintage Photo Distress ink. The Leighton image was then added, and embellished with Prima flowers, computer text, lace and a metal charm.

Created for the Sunday Postcard Challenge where the theme is Edgar Allen Poe. I used a quote from "The Raven" as the inspiration for this piece. The background was sponged with Adirondack Butterscotch, and Distress Inks in Dusty Concord & Faded Jeans. This was then stamped with a linen effect background. The Raven, branches and small birds were stamped in Brilliance Graphite Black. Finally, grungeboard letters were sponged in Dusty Concord, and computer generated text added (Taken from the Poem entitled The Raven By Edgar Allen Poe).

Altered Cabinet Card

Created for Saturday's Workout. The first image shows the card before altering, and the second shows the finished card. I painted the background with red acrylic, then stamped over this with a script in StazOn Purple. Next I collaged a variety of images around the piece, and finished it by highlighting parts with black and white pen work.

This was stamped with a small script in Faded Jeans, then a musci background paper was torn and attached. Next the collage image was added. The words were computer generated and edged with faded jeans. A metal music note charm was added to embellish.

Created for the sample pieces on TGIF. This week's theme is Architecture.

The first piece was created with Distress inks in the background in Dusty Concord, Faded Jeans and Peeled Paint. The Architecture was then stamped in black, and a collage image added. Finally the words were stamped and sponged with the same inks.

The second piece uses Distress inks in Faded Jeans & Vintage Photo. These were spritzed with a little water to created the speckled effect, then the main image was stamped in Versafine Black. This was masked and the background stamped with a text in faded jeans. Finally, the word "inspire" was stamped and speckles and ink splodges added.

Created for the Mixed Media Monday Challenge where the theme is Feathered Friends. I started by sponging Distress Ink in Antique Linen onto matt cardstock. Next I stamped the main image in black, and sponged around it in Tea dye & Vintage Photo. I then masked the image to stamp a script background in Vintage Photo. Next I sponged Walnut Stain around the edge of the card, and stamped the small birds in black. Finally, I cut out the text, edged t in Vintage Photo and added it to the card.

Torn paper was sponged with the same inks, then applied to the top and bottom of the card. The Collage image was then applied, and some text edged with the same inks to finish.

I started by stamping the bakcground in Versafine Black, then sponged StazOn inks over the top of this in Sunflower, Teal & Blazing Red. Areas were highlighted with a White Signo Gel pen, and then the collage images were applied. Finally, some grungeboard numbers were coloured with the same inks, and the edges were sponged with black.

Created for the Theme Thursday Challenge where the theme is Numbers. The background was created using Adirondack inks in Mushroom and Stonewash. This was then stamped with Mushroom ink. A measuring tape background paper was sponged with mushroom ink and applied to the base of the card, and then collage image was attached. A grungeboard number was sponged with Stonewash & Mushroom ink and addeded to embellish, then some paper words edged with stonewash were also attached to finish.

Mixed Media Canvas

Created for the Wednesday Stamper Challenge. I painted the canvas with acrylic paints - Blue, Cream, Gold and a little Raisin. Next I stamped the background onto tissue paper using StazOn black and applied this to the canvas using Future floor polish (this makes the tissue paper transparent when applied). The canvas was then sprayed randonly with a little Lustre Spray in Blue & Gold. Next the collage image was applied. I then added a little more cream acrylic where the words were to go, and randomly around the collage image. The words were cut out and edegd with Distress Ink in Faded Jeans. Finally, Opals EP were applied around the edges in Bubblegum Blue.

Created for the Crazy Amigos Challenge where the theme is 2 x 4". The background was created first by spritzing cardstock with Sticky Fingers Lustre sprays in Pink and Red, then adding some gold. Next, I stamped a background stamp in StazOn Red, and then added some torn background papers which were also edged in red. I added some gesso around the centre where I wanted to place the fairy image, heat dried it, then sprayed on some more gold. Finally, I added the fairy image and the words.

For the Created By Hand Challenge where the theme is Pink & Green. I coated an old book page with gesso, then added Distress Inks in Shabby Shutters & Tattered Rose. I then added a couple more coats of each. A torn music script was sponged with Tattered Rose and applied randly over the card. Next the collage image was applied, and finally the text was stamped onto paper sponged with Tattered Rose and edged with Shabby Shutters.

Created for the TMTA Challenge where the theme is India. The background was sponged with Distress inks in Milled Lavender & Worn Lipstick, then stamped with a script in Milled Lavender. Over this, I sponged some Adirondack ink in Mountain Rose. Next I stamped the word India in black, and a Paisley design also in black. Finally, the collage image was added, and gold Krylon applied around the edges.

A 3.5 x 3.5" page created for part of a book swap. The theme for this page was Time. The background was sent to me to decorate. I added a page of torn paper which I sponged with Distress Ink in Peeled Paint. I then stamped it with a Time stamp (Stampers Anonymous) in StazOn Olive. Next I sprayed a little gold onto the piece and sponged the edges with Vintage Photo Ink. I stamped a pocket watch onto cardstock in black. Sponged it with Vintage photo ink, then added a layer of Ranger Crackle Accents. When dry this was cut out, gold wings were attached it it was added to the card. I also added ink and crackle to a grungeboard letter. The same watch watch stamped onto the green coloured paper, the words were added, and some tiny watch parts to embellish.

Created for the Mixed Media Monday Challenge where the Theme this week is Altered People. I started by glueing various background papers to matt cardstock, then painting them with a thin layer of gesso. Next I added various colours wash sprays, and a little more gesso. The main image was attached, then gesso painted around it. Some paper doily was addded after painting it with gesso and spraying with colour wash, then the words. The whole thing was sprayed with a couple of coats of gloss lacquer to finish.

Created for the Gothic Arch Challenge where the theme is Peace. The background was made using Distress Inks in Worn Lipstick and Walnut Stain. This was then stamped with a script in Walnut Stain. Next the collage image was applied, then the words which were computer generated and sponged with the same inks as the background. Brilliance White ink was sponged around the edges of the arch, then German scrap was coloured with alcohol ink in Cranberry, then sponged with gesso and Walnut Ink. This was added to embellish the top and corners, and finally a metal charm with the word Peace was attached to the centre of the piece.

Created for the Sunday Postcard Challenge. I started by printing a postage stamp image from the internet and attachin it to a collage image. Next I sponged my postcard with Distress Ink in Peeled Paint & Vintage Photo. This was then stamped with a postcard background in StazOn Olive. Torn paper pieces were added to the base and around the postcard. These were sponged with Walnut Stain ink before applying, then the edges of the card were also sponged with Walnut Stain. Finally, the postage person was attached, and a postmark image stamped randomly in black.

Created for the Small World of Inchies Challenge where the theme is Chairs. My twinchie was created by sponging Distress inks onto matt card stock in Tea Dye, Milled Lavender & Weathered Wood. This was then stamped with a small script and a swirl in Weathered Wood. Torn backing paper was sponged with the same inks and applied, as well as the word innocence. Finally the main collage image was added and the whole piece sponged around the edges with Weathered Wood.

Next I applied a gesso wash to an old book page, then sponged it with Butterscotch ink, edging it with Cranberry. Various Teesha Moore collage images were applied to finish.

This was then stamped with Seaweed in black and bubbles in StazOn Teal. Tiny shells were fixed to the piece with netting over the top. The netting was sprayed with colourwash in Aqua & Delphinium. Some gold spray was then added over the piece, and the small fish attached.

Created for the Crazy Amigos Challenge where the theme is Cake. The background was made on glossy card. Inks were sponged onto this in Lettuce, Bottle & Eggplant. It was then stamped with a script stamp in Bottle, and gesso was randomly smudged into the piece. The card was also spritzed lightly with water to create speckles. It was then stamped with a token stamp in eggplant. Torn book pages were sponged with the same ink and applied to the card, the word precious was stamped onto one of them and added at the top. Finally, the collage images of the cupcake and little girl were added.

Created for the TMTA Challenge where the theme is Jewels. I stamped the main image in Versafine Black, then watercoloured it with Lyra Watercolour Crayons. I also watercoloured the background in blue, then sponged a little Distress ink over it in Faded Jeans. The main image was then masked and the background stamped with ledger stamp in Faded Jeans. Three Rhinestone gems were added to embellish the crown, and computer generated text was sponged in coordinating colours.

I started by stamping and masking the main image, then sponging ink around it in Adirondack Butterscotch, Stream & Clover. I then stamped the background with a script using Stream ink, and then again with ink splatters in Brilliance Moonlight White. The quote is computer generated, sponged with Strem and edged with Clover. To finish, German Scrap borders wre added. These were coloured with Alcohol Ink in Stream.

The image of the white Rabbit was then applied to the centre of the card, and black ink was sponged around the edges. A brass clock charm was then coloured with alcohol ink and added to embellish.

This was stamped in Vintage Photo was a Swirls stamp, and then was a speckles stamp in the same ink. A collage image was then applied, and a gold key charm was painted with acrylics to give a rusted appearance.

The background was made using the wrinkle free Distress Technique in Vintage Photo and Mustard Seed, some gesso was randly applied over theis, then it was stamped with a script in StazOn Timber Brown. Stripes were stamped in Walnut Stain using a scratched stamp. Torn paper was sponged with Vintage Photo, Glitz Spritz Spray was added over the top of both the paper & background. The collage image was applied, prima flowers and the word cherish added to finish.

Black clay was rolled using a pasta machine, then painted with 4 coats of gold lumiere paint, allowing to dry between each coat. A rubber stamp was pressed into the painted clay. Next a layer of Adirondack paint was added in Eggplant, Pesto & Denim. The clay was then rolled until flat, and pieces cut to make the front and back of the book. Holes were added for binding before baking, then once cured, a hinge was made for the front pieces (using double sided sticky tape) so the book would open. Paper pages were added between the covers and gold lame' ribbon used to bind them using stab stitch. Little beads were addded to the ends of the ribbon, and some Star Brads added to the front cover.

Created for the Make a Moo Card Challenge where the theme is Zettiology. The background was created using Adirondack inks in Butterscotch & Mountain Rose. I then added the pen work using a black detail pen and a white signo pen. I stamped the Zetti legs, then cut out a Zeti collage image. I added stripes to the flower face then assembled both the legs and face onto the background.

Created for the TGIF Challenge where the theme is Childhood. The background was made using a patterned backing paper which was sponged with gesso, then sponged with Distress ink in Brushed Corduroy. The collage image was added. The words were stamped in black on paper coloured with Brushed Corduroy, cut up, then edged with Walnut Stain ink. German Scrap corners were painted with acrylics to give them a rusty appearance, and the whole card edged with Walnut Stain ink.

Created for the Tag It On Challenge. I started by spraying a cream manilla tag with Sticky Fingers Lustre Sprays in Pink, Blue & Lilac. This was then stamped with a wild flowers stamp in Fasded Jeans Distress Ink. Torn paper was added sponged with either Faded Jeans or Worn Lipstick Distress ink. Next the Fairy image was applied and fibres added to finish.

The collage image was then added, and the text stamped , cut up and applied. The outside of the card and the edges of the stamped text were edged with Chalk Ink in Pretty Petunia. Metal corners and a metal charm were added to finish.

The grungeboard was painted with gesso, then sponged with coordinating inks.

Created for the TMTA Challenge. The background uses the Wrinkle Free Distress Technique in Vintage Photo & Pine Needles. This was then stamped with a postcard background in Vintage Photo. Next I tore a dictionary defination of Peacock, coloured it with the same inks and attached to the base of the card, then stamped and cut out the nature quote coloured and attached to the right side. A real Peacock feather was added, then some metal embellishments to finish.

Created for the Mixed Media Monday Challenge. The background uses the cling and scrunch technique with Adirondack Colour Wash spray in Denim & Sticky Fingers lustre spray in Aqua. This was stamped with a numbers background in StazOn Ultramarine, and the collage image was then applied. The text was stamped onto paper sponged with Adirondack Pool ink, and then edged with StazOn Ultramarine. The lustre spray has made the card very shimmery IRL.

Created for the Sunday Postcard Challenge where the theme is Black & White. I started by covering matt cardstock with an old book page, then painting it with a layer of gesso. Next I placed a Tim Holtz mask down the right hand side, and sponged black ink over it. I also sponged black ink around the remaining 3 edges of the card, then broke it up a bit by adding a little more gesso in random places. I stamped a wrought iron railings stamp at the top and the base of the card, then applied a collage image. Two black metal keys were added to embellish, and the text was stamped and added to finish.

Created for the Saturday's Workout Challenge. I started by spraying an old book page with Sticky Fingers Lustre Sprays in Aubergine, Red, Aqua, Lemon and Green. I then added a little gesso, and sprayed it with MoonShadow ink in Batchelor Blue. The piece was then resprayed with the Lustre inks and heat dried. Next I stamped over some background paper which was originally an acrylic background which I had scanned and printed off. I tore this into small pieces, edged them with Pool ink and attached to the card. Next I attached the rest of the collage elements, the butterflies, the main image and finally little Prima flowers. Such a shame the scanner doesn't pick up the sparkle in the background!

Created for the TGIF Challenge where the Theme is ATC Gothis Arches. I cut my arch from matt card stock, attach an old book page, then sponged it randomly with gesso. I then added colourwash sprays in Bluebell, lilac & Buttercup, and heat dried, adding a few more sprays as it was heated. Finally the collage image was applied and the edges of the arch sponged with Adirondack Denim ink.

This was then spritzed with a little water, and dabbed with a tissue to lift the colours and produce lightened speckles. Next a background was stamped in Weathered Wood. Torn background papers were added with the edges sponged in Dusty Concord. Next the collage image applied, the hats stamped, coloured and added to finish.

Created for the Wednesday Stamper Challenge where the theme is Orange. The background was coloured with Adirondack colour wash sprays in Cranberry and Butterscotch. This was then spritzed with a little water and dabbed with a tissue to lift areas of colour in random places. Next it was stamped with scratches in Mountain Rose, and large numbers in Versafine Black. Torn book pages was added, sponged with Butterscotch and Mountain Rose, then the collage image and text applied.

The background was created by sponging Adirondack Latte ink onto matt card stock, and then stamping over it in the same colour. Torn book pages were also sponged with Latte ink and added randomly over the piece. The collage image was applied, and a little hat stamped and added. The ink splatters were stamped ink black ink to finish.

Created for the Crazy Amigos Challenge where the theme is Colourful Vintage. I started off by tearing old book pages and attaching them to matt cardstock. I then painted over these with a thin layer of gesso. Next, I sprayed the pages with Cosmic Shimmer in Lava Red and Aqua, along with some sticky fingers spray in Buttercup. I added a little more gesso, and a little more of the sprays until I was happy with the colour, then stamped over the piece with a text stamp (due to the fact that I had covered up most of the text on the old book pages I started with). I added yet more colour and gesso, then a final coat of gold spray, so the piece is quite shimmery in places, especially in the creases of the torn paper edges. Next I added the collage images of the girl and the bird, and the whole thing was given a couple of coats of gloss lacquer spray. German scrap pen nibs, borders and a corner were coloured with alcohol inks in Stream & Denim and added to embellish. The text was computer generated and coloured with Lava red & Buttercup colourwash, then sponged around the edge with Distress ink in Broken China.

This was then stamped with a faux linen stamp, also in Walnut Stain, and then with a floral stamp. The collage image and wings were positioned and attached, and finally a few butterflies and the text were stamped using Versafine Black.

Created for the Crazy Amigos challenge where the theme is Proverbs & Sayings. The cardstock was sponged with Distress Inks in Broken China & Vintage Photo. The inks were dragged across the card bother Vertically and horizonally. Next the main image was stamped in Versafine Black.

This was then masked and wild flowers stamped in the background using Vintage Photo. Next the smaller birds were stamped in black, and the proverb added, which was sponged using the same colour inks.

More Transparent Foil

I really liked playing with this technique, so made some more. This time I stamped my images onto white paper, scanned them and printed them onto a transparency. This way the images are a lot clearer than stamping directly onto it. The Geisha card uses Butterscotch & Current, the Blackbird card uses Stream, Denim, Eggplant & Butterscotch and the Man Card uses Latte and Denim.

Transparent Foil

Created for the TMTA Challenge. Where this week's theme is the Transparent foil Technique. I started out by stamping by image onto a transparency, then cutting it to ATC size. Next, I turned the image over and applied alcohol inks to the back in Raisin, Denim and Butterscotch. I cut a of card stock to ATC size, and applied a layer of kitchen foil over the top. I crumpled the foil first to create texture, then straightened it out. I added some torn book page to the top and bottom of the foiled card, then adhered the transparency over the top of it. Some areas were then highlighted with a white Signo pen, and the card was edged with gold Krylon. A little clock charm was added to finish.

Mermaid

This is an 8 x 6" piece created for the Mixed Media Monday Challenge, where the theme is mermaids. I started out by covering a piece of mount board with matt gel medium & tissue paper, layering it up to create texture and spraying with colour wash spray in Aqua, BlueBell and Grass Green. Next I applied the mermaid image to the centre and coated it with a layer of gel medium, then continued layering tissue and colour around it. Next I added some cheesecloth to create the illusion of fishing net. This also was sprayed with colour wash, and adhered with gel medium. I placed some tiny shells under the net at the bottom of the piece, and scattered some pearls around it too. I also added some pieces of fantasy film here and there, crumpling it up, attaching with gel medium, and heating with my heat gun. I added some silver and clear accent beads, and a little white pearl acrylic paint. Finally, a couple of coats of gloss lacquer to finish.

Created for the Gothic Arch Challenge. I started by sponging distress inks onto the card stock (Vintage Photo & Faded Jeans) using a piece of cut n dry and dragging the ink vertically and horizonally. Next I stamped the house image and added some gesso around it. I added more Distress inks over this, then stamped scratches in Vintage Photo, and speckles in black. The borders are German scrap coloured with acrylic paint in Burnt Sienna & Expresso to give a rusted appearance. I did the same with the Grungeboard letter, key and keyhole, though these were painted first with gold before adding the brown colours.

Postcard created for the Sunday Stampers Challenge where the theme is cars. I started by stamping the car, masking it and then stamping the tickets. Next I sponged colour around these using StazOn ink pads in Sunflower Yellow, Cactus Green and Blazing Red. I then masked the car and tickets to stamp the newsprint background using Blazing red and Cactus green. The word Journey was stamped in black, and black ink was also sponged around the border of the card. It was then highlighted with a white Signo pen to finish.

Created for the Sunday Postcard Challenge. I created this on mat card stock. To begin with I took 3 Distress Inks in Faded Jeans, Dusty Concord and Peeled Paint and used a piece of sponge to drag the colours across the card both vertically and horizontally. When I had a light covering, I then stamped the Pierrot stamp and masked it off so I could darken the colours around the outside of the image. I also stamped a background text (the story of Pierrot). Finally I stamped the large text at the base of the card in Versafine Black.

Thought I'd share the text on the background stamp as it's a really touching story:

"There is a story about the Pierrot which relates to how a small naked boy was found outside the gates of Heaven. It was Winter, and as St Peter picked up the child and blessed him, the snow on his body turned into a suit of pure white clothing. St Peter adopted the child and gave him his own name - Little Peter or Pierrot - but there was one condition, Pierrot was not allowed to play with any of the human children he might come across as he wandered outside the gates of Paradise. Of course, this was almost impossible for a small boy, and on his return from just such a meeting he realised that his new white suit now had black marks on it where the ordinary children had touched him. They proclaimed his guilt, and Pierrot was excluded from Paradise forever more."

Next I added a black and white collage image, 3 prima flowers and a rub on text transfer. The border is German Scrap that has been painted white.

4 x 4" page created for Saturday's Workout where the Challenge is to use a Muslin cloth background. I took a piece of Muslin Cloth and spritzed it with Sticky Fingers Colour Wash spray in Lilac. I then placed the cloth over card stock whilst still wet and brayered over it. Next I sponged over this with some Peeled Paint Distress ink. The main image was stamped in Versafine black ink, which was then masked and the background stamping done in Peeled Paint. Finally the word Treasure was stamped at the top of the card in black.

Created for the In my House Challenge where this week's theme is The Orient. I started by sponging the background with Old Paper Distress Ink, then stamped the main image in black. Next I sponged around the image in Peeled Paint Distress Ink, then masked off the geisha image and stamped an oriental script around her also in Peeled Paint. To finish I stamped the words Ancient Wisdom at the top in Versafine Black, and the Oriental flowers in Fired Brick.

Cosmic Shimmer ATC

I recently purchased some Cosmic Shimmer Sprays, and this is the result of testing them out. I sprayed purple & Lava Red onto paper, then crumpled it up to merge the colours and create wrinkles. I then straighted it out and ironed it flat. I stamped a music background over this (Crafty Indviduals) and applied the collage image. The text was stamped and sprayed in coordinating colours, and gold Krylon was added to the edges of the card. Cosmic shimmer sprays are highly pigmented and add real depth of colour and sparkle (not really caught by the scanner).

The background was created using Lumiere and Adirondack acrylic paints. The numbers stamp (paperbag studios) was then stamped over this in StazOn Teal. Next I tore some background papers into strips, sponged them with chalk ink and stamped a script (Tim Holtz) over the top in StazOn Timber brown. Finally, I added the fairy and stamped the word believe.

ATC using my new Tim Holtz masks. I sponged ink in Weathered wood onto the ATC, then put on the mask, and responged the card with Frayed Burlap ink. Next I lifted the mask and stamped a postcard image over the top of the whole card using Weathered Wood ink. Finally, I added the collage image.

Created for the Moo Card Challenge. The background is glossy card stock. I sprayed cosmic Shimmer Sprays in Golden Mist and Aqua Lagoon onto a non-stick craft sheet, then placed the glossy card on top to pick up the ink. The background has a lovely shimmer effect, but this hasn't shown up in the scan. The little house was then stamped in Archival Black and areas highlighted with a signo white pen. Finally, the word home was stamped, sponged with a little ink in Stream and Butterscotch, then attached to the card.
