Finished card made using the Posh Inks Background. Image stamp by The Queen's Dresser Drawers, and text stamp by Invoke Arts.

Ephemera background added

Using the Posh Inks background, I then added some stamping. I used an Ephemera background by Stampin' Up and India Ink.

Posh Inks Background

I have a few sets of Posh Impressions Inks which rarely get used, so decided to get them out to play! I grabbed the first 3 colours from the Earth Tones Pack, which happened to be denim, bottle and butterscotch. I dripped a few spots onto a piece of glossy card, spritzed with water, then added a second piece of glossy card over the top, smooched them together, pulled them apart, and voila, instant background!

These are a set of inchies I created some time ago. I started by colouring some white card stock with Tea Dye Distress ink, cut it into 1" squares, then stamped over them using various images in Vintage photo Distress Ink. I then added a tiny collage image and text, and sponged Vintage Photo Distress ink around the edges. Click on picture to enlarge.

Woman Themed Chunky Book Page

This is a 5 x 5" page I created using Distress Inks. The background uses Spiced Marmalade, Dusty Concord and Faded Jeans, whilst the stamped images are a combination of Spiced Marmalade and Worn Lipstick. Inks wer applied to a non sick craft sheet, and mat card stock swirled face down over the top of them to pick up the colour. Stamps are by Cherry Pie.

Double Joy

This ATC uses a textured alcohol ink background, college images and text from decorative papers. A gold glaze was put over the top, and a gold krylon edge.

Star View

A second ATC made from the Gel medium background. I used tissue paper to stamp the main image on as I found the background too textured to stamp directly onto. A die cut circle book page was coloured with coordinated colour wash sprays and vintage image added. Embellished with German Scrap stars.

Thoughtful Moments

ATC using the Gel medium bakcground. A book page was coloured with colour wash (Sticky Fingers Delphinium), a torn piece of which was added to the bottom, and the words thoughtful moment cut out and attached to the top, as well as some tiny punched stars. The collage image was also sponged with the colour wash.

Another Background Experiment

When doing the Colour wash spray background, I found that cling film doesn't "cling" especially well to water, so I then tried another background using the same technique, but this time started with a layer of Golden Mat gel medium, before spritzing with water & colour wash sprays. I found the ridges and patterns created by the cling film much more prominent, though this did take ages to dry. The finish is sort of waxy, and reminds me of encaustic art.

Paris Dreamer

The forth and final ATC made using the Cling Film Colourwash background. This was stamped with black Versafine using a Crafty Individuals Paris script stamp, a collage image was attached to the bottom right corner, and 2 decorative metal corner embellishments added.

Slide Mount ATC

The third ATC from using the Cling Film Colour Wah background. This time I used PaperArtsy stamps for the backbround, stamped with StazOn Royal Purple. A slide mount was coloured with distress inks in Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick, Dusty COncord, Pine Needles and Shabby Shutters. Over stamped with StazOn Royal Purple to match the background. A collage image was printed onto photo paper and attached to the centre of the slide mount, and then this was glued in the centre of the ATC. The edges were then sponged in Pine Needles Distress ink.

Think Happy Thoughts

This is the second ATC made using the Cling Film Colour Wash background. I stamped over the background using a crackle stamp by Crafty Individuals in StazOn Timber Brown, adhered a strip of collage paper to the bottom, and the winged lady over the top. Finally stamped the text using Versafine Black.

Time For School

The first ATC using the cling film colour wash background. I stamped over it using a PaperArtsy background stamp, attached a collage image, smudged some dilute Gesso around the image and edges, then added a German Scrap border.

Cling Film Colour Wash Background

Saw this technique on someone else's blog, and thought I'd have a play. I used watercolour paper, sptitzed it with water, then used colour wash sprays by Sticky Fingers in Delphinium, Pink and Buttercup. Next scrunched up some cling film, reopened it, and laid it flat on top and allowed to dry.

Image transfer 3

Another Inkjet Transparency transfer. Again onto a laser printed book page with Golden Matt Gel Medium. Torn edges and background use Archival coffee ink.

Image Transfer 2

This ATC uses an inkjet transparency for the transfer. I transfered the image onto a laser printed book page, then tore the edges, and added Archival Teal ink to them. The background uses tea dye distress ink, with Teal Archival stamped over it.

Image Transfer Experiment 1

Using Golden Matt Gel meium, I has a play with image transfer. The background was a book page painted with diliuted gesso, then acrylics, and glazes. The image was an inkjet paper transfer.

The Key to Beauty

Using up a gesso background. I think I originally used a credit card to paste Gesso onto glossy card, then used Adirondack inks DTP over the top. I then sprayed over it with raisin & butterscotch colorwash spray, and stamped an alphabet stamp over it. I used the same colour inks on a stamped and torn dictionary definition background, and attached to the right hand side. A collage image was cut out, lightly sponged with butterscotch ink, and attached to the left. A key was used to embellish, and a dymo machine for the text.

Winged Girl ATC

The textured background was made sticking bits of tape & mesh to card stock, then a layer of PVA glue, and then alcohol inks to colour it. Overstamped with StazOn black. Collage girl cut out, wings stamped and cut out, plus matching border.

Pink Beauty

Background is pink acrylic, overstamped with distress ink in Fired brick. The torn edge book page with painted with watered down gesso, then pink acrylic. Collage image cut out and adhered. Whole ATC painted with a pink glaze.

Embossed ATC

This ATC uses up a piece of scrap embossed card and a transparency image.

More of todays cards

Both these cards use the Cuttlebug embossing folder.

The Mother & child card is an inkjet transparency attached over a piece of cream card stamped with a postage mark in black.

The Inspire card uses Moonshadow inks in Gossamer Gold, Glitz Spritz in Gecko Green and Moonglow embossing powder in Midnight Gold Obsidion. The embossed background started out as a piece of scrap card that had been coloured with Distress ink DTP with Shabby Shutters.

Moonshadow Mists & Cuttlebug Embossing

I was playing with Moonshadow Mists, and a Cuttlebug embossing folder

This card uses a flower stamp by Penny Black, and text stamp from Katy's Corner. The moon shadow inks are Violaceous Violet & Jolly Roger Red.

Unidentified Stamp Set

Anyone know who makes this stamp set??? It might be discontinued as I bought it a couple of years ago, but would love to know the manufacturer if anyone can help.
